The Reaper is a formidable mob that lurks underground hidden in pumpkin patches. It only emerges at night or when a player approaches. Initially invulnerable in its buried state, it bursts forth with dramatic animations and engages in powerful melee attacks using its large scythe. After slaying a target, the Reaper may perform a haunting dance if no other enemies are nearby, taunting its fallen foe.
